In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, this book endeavors to bridge the connection between students and the rich heritage of Indian culture, a legacy both ancient and contemporary. It serves as an educational resource aimed at instilling pride and awareness among Gujarat State school students about the values epitomized in the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. Through engaging stories that convey its fundamental principles, students in classes 6 to 8 will explore essential life lessons from this revered text.

Part 1 of this series introduces the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita across Chapters 1 to 6, integrating multimedia resources with QR codes that offer verse recitations. These elements not only enhance comprehension but also guide students in accurate pronunciation. Complementary activities are included to help students apply the teachings of the Gita to their daily experiences, fostering a deeper understanding and personal growth.

This textbook, prepared under the initiative of the Gujarat Council of Educational Research and Training (GCERT), represents a pioneering effort in introducing the values of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita through storytelling. Designed to be a supplementary reader, it invites constructive feedback for continuous improvement, embodying the collaborative spirit of educational progress.
